FAQ

Acupuncture is an ancient form of alternative medicine by the gentle insertion of a sterile needle on specific points of the body. This is used to promote the flow of Qi through the body. Acupuncture promotes the body's natural healing energy and improves functioning of the muscles and organs. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) restores the flow of energy and balances the organ systems. Chris can help you heal musculo-skeletal and systemic disease by first assessing your individual needs and then providing you with a blend of acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and Tui Na massage. Additionally, supplementation may be recommended.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized that Acupuncture can successfully treat:

acute & chronic pain

Does Acupuncture Work?

Yes! Acupuncture has been an integral medical therapy for thousands of years. It is used to diagnose, treat and prevent illness. It is used for acute and chronic conditions, relieves pain, and strengthens the immune system.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

One of the greatest advantages of acupuncture is the absence of serious side effects.

Is Acupuncture painful?

This is such a common question. In my practice pain and sharpness is unacceptable.  The majority of people who have had acupuncture say it is not what they expected. They feel no undue discomfort. Most people find they can relax or even fall asleep once all the needles are placed.

What is Cupping?

Glass cups are suctioned to the body to draw out toxins, increase blood flow and relieve body pain.

What is Moxibustion?

After the needles are inserted burning moxi is circled around the area to send heat deep into the muscles.
